About PureGym Basildon
If you’ve never been inside a PureGym before, here's a taster of what PureGym Basildon is like. The gym floor is packed full of over 220 pieces of high-quality kit ranging from cardio machines and fixed resistance machines to functional fitness and a large free weights area.
Plus, the timetable of fitness classes included in our memberships, such as circuits and cycling, will let you enjoy working out in a group for free.
You'll find the gym inside Eastgate Shopping Centre, by the town square. We're just a three-minute walk away from Basildon Train Station, which makes us the perfect choice for locals and commuters. We're open 24 hours a day and best of all members get two hours free parking*.
We want to keep PureGym a safe environment for everyone to work out. If you plan to train at night or during un-staffed hours (check your gym’s hours here), please read our unstaffed hours document here to ensure your safety when at the gym.

Driving
Use postcode SS14 1EB in your SatNav to find us.
If the Shopping Centre is open, members must use the entrance on the second floor of Eastgate Shopping Centre.
Outside of Shopping Centre hours, there is an entrance by Car Park 6 that members are able to use.
Shopping Centre hours are below:
- Monday to Saturday: 9am – 5.30pm
- Sunday: 10am – 4pm
- Bank Holidays 10am – 5pm
Alternatively, members can access the gym 24 hours a day through an entrance on Southernhay Road, next to Eastgate Dental Practice. Please note: outside of Shopping Centre hours, members will only be able to exit the gym through the exit on Southernhay Road or by Car Park 6.
Members can park for free for up to two hours in Eastgate Shopping Centre Car Park Number 6, which is open 24 hours. You must validate your parking by entering your car registration details into the tablet located inside the secure side of the Shopping Centre entrance.
*Parking restrictions may apply. Please check in the car park before you enter the gym. PureGym is not responsible for any parking fines.
Public Transport
BY BUS: We're a three-minute walk from the main Basildon Town Centre Bus Station.
BY TRAIN: We're a 6-8 minute walk from Basildon Train Station.
